My two sweethearts

These two boys are really silly, really sweet, and really good. They both have the desire to do whats right. Not to mention are soo nice to their mom. I hear daily from either one of them how thankful they are for what I do for them. I hope this lasts:)

Off to a devotional....

okay okay, I am slacking I know!

I have not blogged in a while. I am a slacker. THE Problem is that I have had a couple gallons of paint that needed me to use them. So I have been going to town!! So fun. I wish I had pictures but all the pictures on my computer are lost:(
:( Luckily I had some on another camera that I completely forgot about that had not been downloaded so I can blog with those.)

My coconut spider. I know cheesy!
 But the kids loved it!
I tried and tried to crack this puppy open to eat the delciousness inside but it was WAY to hard. Since we couldn't eat it, it had to be used  for something
.

Halloween Night

Actual night of Halloween came and as you can see "B" did not get his creepy makeup on again.
One night in one week was enough.
So we threw together a couple of outfits.
I told "A" he could not trick or treat without a costume..
So he went and got an old blanket, cut some holes and was this silly ghost.

Rocker "B".
You can't see it but he had ear rings, eye make, etc.
This was in front of our neighbors yard. Our street apparently is the place to go on the North Shore.
Over 1000 trick or treater's.
We ran out of candy way before that!
It was a lot of fun! Everyone would just sit out on their driveways to hand out candy.
You didn't even have to waste your time knocking on doors.

After Trick or treating some friends of ours gave us tickets to go to the
Haunted Lagoon

at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

We here the music every night and have been wanting to go.

It was so FUN!!!!!

They first have you walk through a haunted house.
 Let me tell you ,
I have not screamed that much in a long time.

Then we headed to the actual

you sit on a canoe and stroll through the lagoon.

Ghosts, clowns, and crazy things pop out of the water at you.

Great way to end the night!
WE are going to go every Halloween night.

Ward Halloween Party

Every year Dan puts makeup on whomever will let him.
"B" was a sport and was very excited to have his on, but only after he saw the final product.
Before that he and "A" were having flash backs of years before being sticky all night long.
"A" swore he would not get any on, but once he saw "B's" he was begging to have Dan put some on him, but our ward party started soon.
So "A" went with no makeup or costume.
I guess that's what happens if you don't have a costume 30 mins before a Halloween party.

"B"s Final creepy thing!

 Lil' B's turn.
 Grim Reaper
 T's turn
 I love this picture!
They both wanted to wear the veils over their faces. I thought it looked better with out...
 Hands were done as well.

 Car was vampired.

Me hiding in teeth to hand out candy at the "trunk or treat'.
Dan was waiting behind me to scare kids.
It worked perfectly because it was so dark.

Dan winning the Best Dancer award.

Professor Sharp

So I have had some requests to blog about the real reason we are here in Hawaii.
I guess that "real reason"  should be mentioned.
Especially since he is usually not in any of our beach pictures
because he is working hard, finishing up his dissertation all the while teaching.
 WORKER BEE!!
The picture above is when he signed the  teaching contract.

 This is his office door.
Professor Sharp,
so distinguished!

I was sitting in his class last week, and clicked this picture. hehehe
By the way, the class was great!
I may be biased because I think the teacher is really cute
but I don't think so,.

 His office.
 Looks like he's working hard:)

So many empty book shelves in his office,
maybe we should have moved all of his books here!

SO there you go,
Professor Sharp,
the "Real Reason" we are here in paradise.
If you were wondering how its going for him... I would say
he is loving teaching,
he can't believe he does this for a living.
He also is teaching early morning seminary, which keeps him even more busy, but he loves that as well.
So all in all, Professor Sharp is in Paradise in all aspects of his life. ( well hopefully all:) hehe

T and B photo shoot

I wanted to take some pictures of the little guys, so we set off around the neighborhood and they (well not really they, it was all B)  picked the poses and the back grounds for each picture.

Crackers

Country living makes you "make do". If you don't have garlic bread to serve with your pasta while  having guests for dinner, just serve crackers. The good thing is everyone is in the same boat. We all know how much effort it takes to drive to Costco, the grocery store here in Laie is kind of expensive, so you just "make do".
I actually really like that about here.
Simplicity and no pressure.

This week we were trying to "make do".

My older boys were going to be wearing white pants one night this week and they were going to special thing so they had to be presentable.

THEY own plenty of underwear, just none the shade of white...

White pants  + Colored underwear = Not Professional.

A house full of boys + Anything white =Lots of stain removal

 So, I buy nothing white!

Target and Costco are an hours drive.

This put us in a little predicament.

I really didn't want to  drive an hour for undies so Dan and I walked to the local grocery store to see what "crackers" we could come up with knowing they probably didn't have actual underwear but hoping they might.

THE above picture was the first "cracker" we found.
A hernia support was their second..
(Look up the picture, hilarious!)
The third, a jock strap.

We came home and let the boys know what their options were.
Trying to tell them in as serious a way as we could
all the while stifling our laughter!

They were shocked at first then fits of laughter came spewing from their  now unshocked faces.

Needless to say I drove an hour to buy them actual white underwear.
Garlic bread was needed "crackers" would not do this time around.
